Job Description
- Inspecting the performance of trucks cranes bulldozers and other heavy equipment.
- Using computerized testing equipment to diagnose flaws.
- Adjusting and replacing defective parts repairing broken equipment parts
- Cleaning lubricating and performing routine maintenance on heavyduty vehicles
- Cleaning and maintenance of machine attachments such as winches blades and side booms
- When necessary perform significant repair work.
- Notifying management of damaged or faulty equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
- To determine the repair required use computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose defects or malfunctions.
- Adjust the equipment and repair or replace any broken parts.
- Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and that work meet manufacturer specifications.
- Work on heavy trucks to repair them.
- Working tools and service attachments
- Emission control systems must be tested and repaired.
Requirements
- GED or high school diploma
- Heavy equipment mechanic certification.
- Work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic is required.
- Knowledge of computer testing technologies.
- Possibility of lifting heavy machinery.
- Expertise in diesel engines and construction equipment.
- Ability to work after hours if necessary.
- Excellent communication abilities.
