NOCCCD is now accepting applications for PartTime Nursing Instructor at Cypress College!
Essential Functions
Examples of essential functions are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature.
Desirable Qualifications
Commitment to examine reflect and modify instructional relational and lab practices in order to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with the goal of closing equity gaps.
Minimum Qualifications
A Masters or higher degree which includes coursework in nursing education or administration. If degree other than nursing submit information verifying coursework in nursing education. AND ALL OF THE FOLLOWING : Possess minimum qualifications established by the California Board of Registered Nursing 1. Completion of at least one 1 years experience teaching courses related to registered nursing or completion of a postbaccalaureate course which includes practice in teaching registered nursing. 2. Direct patient care experience within the previous five 5 years in the nursing area to which he or she is assigned which can be met by: a . One 1 years continuous fulltime or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area; b. Or One 1 academic year of registered nurse level teaching experience in the designated nursing area or its equivalent 3. Possess or be eligible for and obtain a current California Registered Nursing license. 4. Possess current Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification. Commitment to diversity. All applicants must have demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff. The applicant must be able to demonstrate how these factors relate to the need for equity minded practices within the classroom.
