The Department of History Philosophy & Geography seeks applications from qualified candidates for a fulltime nontenuretrack appointment in Geography beginning in Fall 2025. Area of specialization is open but an ability to teach introductory U.S. and World Geography courses is required. The base teaching load at A&MSA is 4/4. Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed.
Required Education and Experience:
M.A. in Geography or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution by the time of appointment.
A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Geography.
University teaching experience commensurate with the rank of Lecturer.
Availability to teach inperson classes.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Ph.D. in Geography or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution by the time of appointment.
ArcGIS Experience.
Human and/or Urban Geography.
Ability to teach upper division Geography courses in the field of specialization.
Active research agenda in the field of specialization.
