The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking experienced Composites Manufacturing Engineers located in Berkeley MO.

Position Overview:As a Composites Manufacturing Engineer you will support the development and implementation of production methodologies and tooling for composite aircraft parts and assemblies. You will collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines ensuring efficient manufacturing processes that meet stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes plans and tooling methodologies for composite aircraft parts and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with IPTs to support the integration of technical solutions and ensure manufacturability of designs.
  • Investigate and resolve technical problems related to composite manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in the implementation of Lean principles to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Resolve technical issues that significantly impact performance cost or schedule.
  • Conduct data analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers and stakeholders to align on product development and manufacturing goals.
  • Perform producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capabilities meet requirements.
  • Maintain a focus on safety quality and customer satisfaction throughout all manufacturing processes.

  • F15EX:The latest variant of the F15 featuring advanced avionics and weapon systems for superior air dominance.
  • T7A Red Hawk:A nextgeneration trainer aircraft designed to prepare pilots for modern combat.
  • MQ25 Stingray:The first unmanned aerial refueler for the U.S. Navy enhancing the capabilities of carrierbased operations.
  • F/A18 Super Hornet:A multirole fighter aircraft known for its versatility and advanced capabilities.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.
  • Level 2: 2 years of workrelated experience with a Bachelors OR workrelated experience with a Masters
  • Level 3: 5 years of workrelated experience with a Bachelors OR 3 years of workrelated experience with a Masters OR work related experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience supporting stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master3 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Security Clearance:
