Job Description
Job Title: Entry Level Geologist/Scientist at Trihydro Corporation
Location: Laramie Wyoming
Job Summary:
In your role you will provide field support for soil and groundwater investigation remediation and monitoring activities as well as field and construction oversight/managementThis position includes field assistance for environmental due diligence assessments (e.g. Phase I and II) and environmental compliance. Office support includes preparation of environmental permits and plans data management and interpretation technical report preparation and project management assistance. The position requires working at industrial commercial and energy site locations.
This fulltime position requires approximately 4045 hours per week and involves a blend of mechanical aptitude selfmotivation and a strong work ethic. GIS or CADD training is a plus.Applicants must have proficient technical writing skills and a demonstrated commitment to safe operations. This position is also responsible for the administration and stewardship of health and safety programs at active sites and communicating with project management and client(s) concerning site activity. This position will require awillingness to travel for field work (up to 50 of work time may include travel). Applicants must have a clean driving record Microsoft Office skills a positive attitude willingness to learn and a commitment to safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong technical and problemsolving skills including attention to detail and accuracy as well as a commitment to producing highquality deliverables.
- Direct industry employment history in environmental assessment within an industrial commercial and/or energy setting or a related field.
- Experience leading field events in an industrial commercial and/or energy setting.
Qualifications:
- 02 years of relevant experience.
- A bachelors degree in Geology Geologic Engineering Hydrogeology Environmental Engineering Environmental Scientist or similar.
- Willingness to obtain PE PG CHMM or similar professional certification.
- Strong academic GPA and relevant thesis topic (if masters degree obtained).
- Proficient written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team members.
- Solid employment history with a commitment to safe work practices.
- Initiative and motivation with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule.
- Mechanically inclined with desire to learn new skills.
- Dependable with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Fluency with Microsoft Excel and familiar with various Microsoft Office programs helpful.
