Job Description
Plateau GRP is seeking a skilled Data Engineer/Analyst to design build and maintain our data infrastructure and pipelines. In this role you will be responsible for transforming raw data into valuable business insights through efficient ETL processes and robust data modeling. You will create and document data artifacts perform indepth analysis and develop visualizations that communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design build and maintain efficient reliable and scalable data pipelines to support business operations and analytics.
- Develop and implement ETL processes to extract data from various sources transform it according to business rules and load it into target system.
- Create and maintain comprehensive data documentation including data dictionaries ERDs and data lineage diagrams.
- Perform detailed data analysis to uncover insights identify patterns and support business decisionmaking.
- Build and optimize database schemas and data models using industrystandard frameworks and best practices.
- Develop data quality monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy completeness and consistency.
- Create informative data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Engineering or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in data engineering ETL processes and pipeline development.
- Strong proficiency in Python SQL and data processing frameworks.
- Experience designing building and optimizing data pipelines for largescale data processing.
- Proven ability to perform advanced data analysis including:
- Statistical analysis techniques for identifying patterns and trends
- Exploratory data analysis to uncover insights from complex datasets
- Data profiling and quality assessment methodologies
- Expertise in creating and maintaining data artifacts:
- Data dictionaries and comprehensive metadata documentation
- Entityrelationship diagrams and logical/physical data models
- Technical specifications for ETL processes and transformations
- Proven track record of implementing data models and creating technical artifacts using standard data modeling frameworks.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Python Power BI or similar) to create insightful dashboards.
- Experience with Azure cloudbased platform
- Strong understanding of data quality principles and data governance frameworks
Preferred Qualification:
- Prior experience working on DoD contracts.
