Closely work with the pediatric cardiologist when performing pediatric echo procedures. Learn and perfect skills from the best! Employee will perform scans within inpatient and outpatient. There will be a rotation for call on weekends evenings and holidays. Weekend days may be included.Summary
Performs all required ultrasound and clinical evaluations at a technical level requiring limited supervision.Job Description
Maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is selfmotivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field of adult and pediatric cardiac disease and new techniques as they evolve. Performs clinical assessments and diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations. Utilizes cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical pathological and diagnostic images. Responsible for the safety mental and physical comfort of the patient while in the sonographers care. Assists with the maintenance of laboratory accreditation. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all customers (i.e. patients coworkers physicians peers etc.. Performs procedures at the hospital and at outreach mobile sites. Outreach mobile requires driving and/or flying with our without physicians. Overnight stays as necessary. Performs echocardiography tests and procedures in accordance with the American Society of Echocardiography standards. Trains and orientates new employees and/or sonography students. Thoroughly understands the operation of the ultrasound machine and utilizes new sonographic technologies. Interacts professionally and effectively with fellow healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
