Job Description
Zoox is looking for software engineers to build the tools that power our autonomous ride sharing service. Our Operational Tools Team is a crucial part of Zooxs mission to deliver autonomous ridehailing to the world.

Our Operational Tools are essential for the safe and effective use of our evergrowing fleet of autonomous robotaxis. As an engineer on the team you will collaborate with product managers designers QA engineers and remote operators to build full stack web applications to monitor and support our fleet at scale provide invehicle visualization systems and provide live ride support to our growing rider base.

In this role you will:
- Design and implement highly scalable and reliable web applications to support Zooxs autonomous robotaxi service under the supervision of more senior engineers
- Collaborate with software engineering teams PMs designers to build new features.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to enhance existing software systems by optimizing latency CPU/memory usage and database queries.
- Have the chance to grow into a Senior Engineer with the support of your manager mentor and team members.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in software development
- Solid foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript HTML and CSS or Python
- Experience with a Front End UI Framework (e.g. Vue React Svelte) or a web framework (e.g. Flask FastAPI)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency in a lowlevel language such as Java Kotlin C C or Rust.
- Familiarity with lowlevel Linux system protocols firmware and ECUs.
- Experience developing tools that support operations.
Compensation:
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $170000 to $245000. A signon bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling as well as positioning within a level is determined by a range of factors including but not limited to a candidates relevant years of experience domain knowledge and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
