Position Summary: To facilitate provide and support language assistance services for LimitedEnglish Proficient persons in the district design and train staff in using language resourcesdeveloping language skills and support district initiatives aimed to engage and serve refugeeand immigrant families.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
HS Diploma GED or equivalent
Experience:
Three 3 years of experience providing interpretation and translation servicesSpecialized Knowledge Licenses Etc.
Language proficiency in English and target language to provide simultaneous andconsecutive language interpretation and translation of various documents containingsimple to complex terminology
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Office Suite
Bilingual in English and target language with familiarity of language dialects registersidioms and slang
Knowledge of legal regulations and the role of an interpreter/translator
