Carpenter

Responsibilities include general maintenance tasks as assigned including crew leader on inhouse and outside construction projects. Must keep time materials and work records and order materials and supplies. Will supervise alteration repair and general maintenance of all VOADV buildings and programs.

• Perform sheetrock repairs and installation framing of walls using metal and wooden studs.
• Install interior and exterior doors and windows.
• Install trim and cabinets construct stairs and railings.
• Install block walls and form concrete professionally install flooring.
• Plan select and lay out required daily materials for service and repair work.
• Work from drawings schematics blueprints job layouts or verbal instructions.
• Submit the requisitions of building materials and supplies to the Construction and Maintenance Department.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools or forklift.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Comply with all VOADV Property policies and procedures and adhere to company professional standards.
• Interact with clients staff and outside contacts with respect and courtesy.
• Maintain client and staff confidentiality in compliance with Administrative policies and procedures.
• Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.
