Job Description

Our client is looking for a Sales Representative responsible for the full range of Vascular range of products by calling on health care professionals and related role players i.e.Stock Controllers Pharmacy Managers etc. to build strong ethical relationshipswith customers to gain greater market share and service current businessthereby resulting in achieving and exceeding both sales and profitabilitygoals for the companys Vascularbusiness. Calling on Private Accounts in the Cape TownRegion.

Candidates must live in the Cape Yown area.

Responsible for the sales of the Vascular portfolios;

  • Sales includingmaintaining and growing existing business and expanding of sales within theassigned territory;
  • Scheduling andattending appointments with existing and potential customers;
  • Attendingtheatre lists;
  • Demonstrationof products to Clinical personnel;
  • Completion ofweekly planner and activity report for submission to direct manager;
  • Achieving SalesTargets;
  • Responsible fornetworking with and development of relationships with new customers andmanaging existing customers;
  • Counting andmanagement of Consignment Stock;
  • Requesting andfollowing up on quotations;
  • Generaladministration associated with the position.

Responsible forMarketing Activities:

Marketing:

  • Assistmanagement with Journal clubs and workshop/VISTA meetings and variousconferences as needed;
  • Assist theSales Manager with the sales budgeting per territory for each SBU;
  • Effectiveimplementation of tactical plan;
  • Effectivemarketing activities including congresses and customer workshops andeducational events;
  • Daily calls tocustomers and new prospects;
  • Effectivepromotion of all products offered by the company
  • Sales knowledgeto allow for effective selling of product features and benefits;
  • Evaluationanalyses and reporting on Competitors products drive strategies and drivingappropriate business responses;


CustomerRelations:

  • In product andmarketing capacity establish a network with the stakeholders in the HospitalsPhysicians and Key Opinion Leaders. Build and maintain strong relations withall stakeholders including customers payors government and employees inrepresenting our full line of products and services;
  • Attending toappointments with Customers and prospects;
  • Report to SalesManager when needed with existing and potential customers;
  • Gather customerrequirements in corporation with Sales manager to ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Assist with thesuccessful facilitation of congresses and training workshops when needed.
  • Assist withidentifying the correct customers to attend product training to ensure a ROI;
  • Managerelationships with all customers prospects and key opinion leaders whereneeded.
  • Maintain goodrelations and communication with internal customers i.e. Customer ServicesFinance Department Logistics and Management;
  • Customerprofiling and mapping tools to grow product families according to the customerneeds but in line with our business strategy and focus products.


Sales Reportsand Administration:

  • Achieve monthlyand quarterly sales budgets for the SBU;
  • Achieve annualsales budgets per SBU;
  • Expense claimshanded in on time as per the schedule received from Finance with correct costallocations;
  • Monthly reportsto the Sales Manager submitted on/before 5th of month;
  • Monthly callreports and weekly call planners to be sent to the Sales Manager;
  • Compliance toregulatory SOPs SA Regulations and Code of Business Ethics:
  • Maintaining theCompanys ethical position;
  • Effectivelycommunicating and managing Company business conduct policies


Training:

  • Maintain a highlevel of motivation to ensure marketing function is well implemented;
  • Preparation andconducting of presentations at Sales Consultants and Management meetings;
  • Assist SalesManager with product queries and/or technical/clinical application information;
  • Manage yourportfolio by living the company values.

TrainingEvents:

  • Identify andimplement educational events for customers to achieve growth;
  • Manage theimplementation of workshop activities with sales team and customers;
  • Train newcustomers on the range of products as set out by your Manager;
  • Assist withidentifying workshops and educational events that will deliver a ROI and resultin product growth;
  • Participate incompany business and sales meetings and provide input to management;
  • Attend andassist when needed for planning of all congresses identified;


AdministrativeDuties:

Reports:

  • Adhere tocredit policies and procedures of the group;
  • Maintain alladministrative responsibilities associated with this position; monthlyreporting on marketing activities;
  • Ensure allproduct and marketing activities comply with legal and ethical standards;
  • Managing allcompany expenses within the marketing budget provided;
  • Adhere to anylegal or medical requirements and inform management of changed requirements;
  • Submit monthlyreports to senior management.


StockManagement:

  • Assist withStock rotation and slowmoving identification and returns;
  • Assist SalesManager with input from the field on stock ordering and give feedback on stockrequirements from the field;
  • Management ofconsignment stock allocated to customers on request from Sales Manager;
  • Management ofboot stock allocated and rotation of stock when needed to reduce unnecessaryexpiration of products;
  • Should aprocedural kit procedure be implemented in the SBU the responsibility ofmanaging this and evaluating the effectiveness of it remains the responsibilityof the Sales Consultant;
  • Giving feedbackto Management on Consignment stock.




Requirements

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric) is a minimumrequirement;
  • A relevant degree or diploma is anadvantage;
  • Any medical and marketing qualificationswould be a definite advantage.


Experience Required

  • Previous salesexperience;
  • Medicalexperience is a preference and previous experience in a similar position suchas Vascular or any experience in the Medical Industry would be an advantage;
  • Knowledge ofthe target group of customers will be an advantage;
  • Computerliteracy and proficiency on MS Office specifically Excel (level 2 at least)and MS Word is a requirement for this position;
  • Clinical andproduct knowledge will be a definite advantage;
  • Existing relationships with customer base willbe a definite advantage
