CLOSING DATE: Open Continuously with biweekly reviews
POSITION: Short Notice Laundry Aide
SALARY: $20.00 per hour
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor
LOCATION: Colville Tribal Convalescent Center
Basic Function:This is a Non Exempt position. Perform the daytoday activities of the laundry department in accordance with the current federal state local standards guidelines and regulations governing the facility. Assure that the facility is maintained in a clean safe and sanitary manner. Maintain and adequate supply of linen at all times to meet the needs of the residents.
Qualifications
Education and Training:
- Requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Requires knowledge of long term care setting and laundry practices.
- Requires ability to read and write.
- Requires ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds liquids disinfecting solutions etc.
- Requires abilityto push pull move and/or lift a minimum of 35 pounds to a minimum height of 2feet as well as the ability to push pull move and/or carry said weight a minimum of 15 feet.
- Requires abilityto work independently.
- Requires successful clearance of a Criminal History background inquiry that indicates no felony or convictions on the DSHS Secretarys list.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to preemployment drug testing. In addition this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and postaccident drug testing.
TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
If required of this position you must possess and maintain avalid Washington State drivers license and be eligible for the Tribes Vehicle Insurance. In addition this position may be subject to preemployment background clearances. If applicable these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
