Responsibilities
Westar Display Technologies is a leading supplier of display quality assurance (QA) and automated optical measurement systems as well as video processing solutions to companies worldwide. We specialize in designing and manufacturing highprecision oneofakind electromechanical systems used for display testing and measurement.
We are seeking an EntryLevel Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply both your mechanical engineering knowledge and handson skills in a fastpaced innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and fabricate detailed parts required to mount instruments lighting systems and other components onto equipment
- Create and update assembly and detailed drawings for automated display measurement equipment
- Program and install motion automation using Galil or other motion controllers
- Install commercial and custom software onto system PCs
- Conduct test procedures on both incoming assemblies and outgoing systems to ensure quality and performance
- Interface with and provide instructions to outside vendors including metal fabricators machine shops and metal finishers
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with 02 years experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling Flow Simulation and detailed design
- Experience with Orcad for schematic capture and PCB layout a plus
- Competency with hand tools power tools CNC machines and drill presses
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interface with customers vendors and internal teams
- Experience with motion controllers and automation is a plus
