Sentara Health is currently seeking a flexi/prn Patient Transporter at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center to work on an as needed basis.
Hours/Shift: Flexible Rotating Shifts
As a Patient Transporter with Sentara you will safely escort and transport patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics. The Patient Transporter strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara. You will be responsible for communicating clearly with all staff visitors and patients. You will also ensure adequate communication of information between Central Transport and other departments.

Education Required:
High School Diploma
Certifications Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Other/National within 90 days of hire

The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$15.75 $20.46Sentara Albemarle Medical Center located in Elizabeth City NC serves northeastern North Carolina with a caring team of approximately 650 employees and 150 medical providers. Our 182bed facility features 25 specialties including emergency maternity orthopedics medical and surgical care in addition to our outpatient laboratory imaging and comprehensive breast services. In 2022 Sentara broke ground on a new campus a stateoftheart 88bed hospital to replace the current 60yearold facility on North Road Street. The 135acre campus coming out of the ground at Halstead Boulevard Extended and Thunder Road will be known as the Sentara Albemarle Regional Health Campus. It is projected to cost about $200 million up from the original estimate of $158 million due to sharp spikes in costs for building materials and medical equipment.
