Job Description
Explore an opportunity with TheWake Forest Health NetworkUrgent Care Wilkespractice located in North Wilkesboro North Carolina.We are seeking skilled Physicianto join our growing team.This is a great opportunity for a physician who wants a comprehensive outpatient clinicincluding all ages treatingminor burns or injuries sprains and strains coughs colds and sore throats allergic reactions (nonlife threatening) rash or other skin irritations broken bones and more.Must have aminimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Family Medicine or Urgent Care and experiencetreating pediatric patients. This PRN position is 16 hours per week.
Physicians work to care for patients in a variety of ways from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare. While physician specialties might vary the commonality across specialties is that physicians primarily work to diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses. They often do this by performing physical exams taking medical histories performing and interpreting diagnostic tests and recommending a plan of treatment.

- Minor officebased procedures
- Referrals to Wake Forest Baptist Health specialists as needed
Hours of Operation:
- Hours are Monday Friday:8:00 am 7:30 pm Saturday Sunday: 8:00 am 5:30 pm.
Physician Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school as a M.D./D.O.
- Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution.
- Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License as a current M.D./D.O.
- Board Certification in primary care or related field from said residency.
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing required.
