CERTIFIED DENTAL ASSISTANTS
This is a continuous posting based on operational need and will be used to create an eligibility list to fill upcoming opportunities within the next twelve months. The number of positions to be filled has not been identified at this time. The positions are casual and temporary.
SALARY
$31.60 per hour
These positions are unionized roles with York Region CUPE Local 905

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Supervisor Child and Family Health and under the guidance and direction of the Registered Dental Hygienist and/or Dentist this position is responsible for providing dental assistant services in the Children and Youth Dental Program or Seniors Dental as outlined in the Ministry of Health and LongTerm Care Mandatory Health Programs and Services Guidelines under the Health Protection and Promotion Act.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful completion of a Community College Dental Assisting Diploma or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
Successful completion of the National Dentist Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB) exam and current certification by the Ontario Dental Assistants Association (ODAA).
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
Minimum three 3 years dental experience including presenting oral health education.
