About the Role:

The Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and the management of employee expense reimbursements. This position requires expertise in payroll systems compliance with tax and labor regulations and meticulous attention to detail. The role also involves providing support to employees and management regarding payroll and expenserelated matters and maintaining records for reporting control and auditing purposes.

What you will do:

Payroll Processing:

  • Prepare and process regular and off cycle payroll ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Maintain employee payroll records including tax forms benefits deductions and direct deposit information.
  • Calculate and verify pay adjustments overtime bonuses and other compensations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee concerns promptly.
  • Generate payroll reports and provide data for financial analysis or audits.

Expense Management:

  • Review and process employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Verify receipts mileage logs and other documentation for reimbursement claims.
  • Collaborate with employees to resolve discrepancies or incomplete submissions.
  • Ensure timely reimbursement of approved expenses.

Benefit Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile benefit plan data against payroll records using Everything Benefits reconciliation system.
  • Reconcile benefit records to general ledger system.

Payroll Related Financial Tasks:

  • Accrue and reconcile payroll liabilities.
  • Prepare payroll benefit and expense fluctuation explanations.
  • Prepare payroll to general ledger quarterly reconciliation.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Stay updated on payroll laws and expense reporting regulations.
  • Assist in preparing yearend tax forms such as W2s.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual payrollrelated reconciliations.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll and expenses.
  • Work closely with HR to manage employee data such as new hires terminations and salary changes.

Who you are:

  • Education: BS degree in Accounting or equivalent job experience is preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years in payroll processing expense management or a related role.
  • Proficiency in payroll and expense management software UKG and Coupa experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws tax regulations and expense policy best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problemsolving and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.

Base salary is $annually. Individual pay is based on factors unique to each candidate including skill set experience and other jobrelated reasons.
