Job Description
Position: Staff Tax Accountant
Location: Orlando Area
Salary: $55000 $70000 bonus full benefits great PTO and 401K
Our client is a fast growing midsized public accounting firm with close to 50 employees who has been serving Central FL for years. Due to double digit year over year growth they are looking for a talented Tax Accountant with 2 years of public accounting experience to join their fast growing tax department.

Responsibilities
- Prepare Federal and State returns for S & CCorporations Partnerships Individuals Trusts and NotforProfits
- Maintain financial reporting records and general ledger accounts
- Maintain the fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules and ensure proper recording of new purchases and dispositions
- Handle routine client questions and work with clients to obtain necessary information for financials and tax return completion
- Conduct tax research for unusual situations
- Assist in federal and state audits
- Provide an information source in the tax area within the company
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent preferred
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 2 years of relevant Public Accounting experience
- Experience with various Federal and State tax returns including individual corporate trust estate nonprofit and partnership
- Knowledge in U.S. GAAP
- Financial Statement knowledge audit review and compilation
- Strong technology skills Excel Word and Drake software preferred
