The Assistant Volleyball Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of team development including training game strategy recruitment and academic mentoring. This role involves fostering studentathlete growth ensuring compliance with NCAA and university policies and contributing to the overall success of the volleyball program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership technical expertise and a commitment to the athletic and academic advancement of studentathletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting efforts including evaluating potential studentathletes attending scouting events and coordinating campus visits.
- Support academic monitoring and mentoring to ensure studentathletes maintain eligibility and excel in their studies.
- Assist in the development of strength and conditioning programs in collaboration with athletic trainers.
- Analyze game footage and statistics to provide feedback and strategic improvements.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA conference and university regulations.
- Participate in fundraising community engagement and promotional activities to support the volleyball program.
- Assist with travel logistics equipment management and administrative tasks as needed.
Education
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience at the collegiate club or high school level. Collegiatelevel playing experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
