Job Description
**10 hour Nights Opening $2 Shift Premium**
**SundayWednesday 8:30pm6:30am**
Join Serigraph as an Injection Molding Technician 1!
Are you a detailoriented problem solver with a passion for precision manufacturing Serigraph is looking for an Injection Molding Technician 1 to ensure the efficient operation of our injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment. In this role you will be responsible for setup startup troubleshooting and maintenance to support highquality production. Youll play a key role in optimizing machine performance maintaining process parameters and documenting data to drive continuous improvement. Injection Molding Technician Responsibilities
- Set molds and maintain process parameters to ensure the consistent production of quality products.
- Analyze and resolve process issues by determining root causes.
- Complete all mold changeovers including setting up and loading proper process parameters to achieve firstpiece acceptance.
- Monitor production data charts (Pcharts) to maximize uptime and help achieve production targets.
- Document all parameter changes in the process book.
- Work with the Team Leader to shift operators and inspectors as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Verify that all setups are completed using the verification checklist and ensure that FPA paperwork is up to date.
- Ensure all environmental practices and material handling policies are followed.
- Work overtime as needed including weekends.
- Serve as a backup for production operators running equipment or inspecting parts when necessary.
- Respond to and resolve production and equipmentrelated issues.
- Operate machines in the postprint area as needed to support production flow.
- Maintain process parameters within specified limits.
- Communicate press status with teams to ensure smooth startup and shutdown planning.
- Report equipment or tooling repairs and malfunctions to the appropriate support department.
- Perform basic mold preventive maintenance (PM) inpress and on the bench preparing tools for shipment when necessary.
- Operate a forklift as required.
- Prepare materials for molding presses including pulling resin from the warehouse.
- Assist with team member training as needed.
- Ensure quality and stop production to correct quality concerns. Inform management of products and/or processes that do not conform to requirements.
- Ensure all environmental practices and materials are handled and disposed of per appropriate procedures in your area.
- Support Serigraph current quality business system and understand use of SPECS the Serigraph quality manual.
What we are looking for in an Injection Molding Technician
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of equipment tooling and controls related to molding operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot moldingrelated process and equipment issues.
- Ability to interpret and understand job tickets.
- Knowledge of good departmental and company safety/housekeeping/PPE practices.
- Understand departmental procedures and policies.
Preferred Qualifications and Education of an Injection Molding Technician
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a technician with demonstrated skills in setting up and starting injection molding machines troubleshooting and mechanical operations.
- Experience with robotic and automated injection molding processes and systems.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma and statistical process control (SPC) tools.
- Training or experience in RJG methodology Lean manufacturing concepts and SPC data collection.
- Injection molding training and related seminars.
