JOB TITLE: Service Manager
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:This position will be responsible for managing and supervising all aspects of service operation under the guidance of the store manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure excellent internal and external customer service and communication
Demonstrate ability to effectively work with a team
Assist with recruiting hiring training monitoring & evaluating staff
Supervise all service personnel & operations
Ensure & / or demonstrate application of mechanical & computer application expertise
Organize work for efficient & quality operation
Assign tasks schedule work hours
Monitor inventory levels
Promote/ assist with parts sales
Maintain knowledge of all service processes & equipment
Direct or participate with giving repair estimates
Oversee and/or perform repair work & necessary scheduled maintenance
Ensure neat clean attractive appearance & safety of service area
Troubleshoot problems
Provide feedback/ operating reports for store manager
Maintain adherence of policies / procedures
Prompt attendance & neat appearance
Other duties as deemed necessary by the store manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school degree GED or equivalent work experience
Excellent organizational scheduling & communication skills
Excellent leadership & supervisory abilities (ability to lead & supervise several technicians)
Excellent customer/ shop service commitment
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to stoop bend twist push & pull reach & lift overhead go up & down steps
Knowledge of & ability to utilize service/mechanical tools & devices
Ability to conduct thorough truck inspections & repair functions
Due to the nature of the position and the potential impact of drug use on the individuals ability to perform jobrelated employment responsibilities and the safety of other employees any offer of employment will be conditioned on a preemployment postoffer drug test.
PREFERENCES:
Valid CDL & good driving record
Microsoft Office knowledge
Proficiency with Computer Applications (including but not limited to diagnostics training vendor websites)
