Key Responsibilities

As the Technical Sales Representative you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding market share within the drilling and mining industries in the MidWest. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow sales in mineral exploration construction drilling and percussive mining.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors distributors and mine/quarry personnel.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and capabilities of our clients drilling solutions.
    • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Sales & Performance Management:
    • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets through strategic planning and .
    • Prepare sales reports forecasts and territory goal planning to drive business growth.
  • Technical Support & Market Analysis:
    • Stay updated on industry trends competitor activities and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance product offerings and address customer feedback.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Education & Experience:
    • A Bachelors degree in Mining Mechanical Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
    • A minimum of 4 years of outside sales or account management experience in the drilling or mining industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong working knowledge of mineral exploration construction drilling and percussive mining.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information effectively.
    • Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
    • Strong problemsolving and negotiation skills to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
    • Ability to create present and communicate compelling sales proposals.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • A valid drivers license with a good driving record.
    • Availability to travel at least 50 of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events.
