  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. High School Graduate or equivalent.
    2. Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate basic businessrelated skills.
    3. Computer literate with various Microsoft applications such as Word Excel and Access.
    4. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in order to effectively work within timeline/deadlines.
    5. Ability to perform duties requiring strictest confidentiality.
    6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with other personnel/departments.
    7. Must have strong analytical ability and demonstrated experience in analysis of data using various software applications including databases spreadsheets (Pivot Tables) etc.
    8. Advanced knowledge of Student Management Software (ProgressBook).
    9. Specific knowledge and experience with EMIS and State reporting requirements.

    ADDITIONAL PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Associate Degree in Computer Programming/Data Base Management.
    2. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access.

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

    Explicit oral and written instructions received from Supervisor or designee for carrying out the operations to be performed.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:
    1. Prepare and produce custom reports as requested by various administrators and departments.
    2. Assist in validation of data necessary to correct errors and support the EMIS system by using various computer reports.
    3. Efficiently analyze and anticipate data reporting needs for State data submissions.
    4. Review all data files and reports released from the State.
    5. Monitor student data to ensure accuracy and compliance with State guidelines.
    6. Maintain and monitor student grading and testing records insuring accurate points for graduation.
    7. Review CTE classes for correct coding to ensure they are funded.
    8. Comprehend and apply data reporting rules for EMIS reporting.
    9. Troubleshoot investigate and analyze data reporting errors.
    10. Communicate student and staff reporting requirements to district administrators and other personnel responsible for collecting and entering data.
    11. Communicate with other Districts to correct EMIS coding errors that affect our data.
    12. Review course codes in all buildings to ensure they are coded correctly to comply with teacher certification.
    13. Generate specific reports as requested by other departments.
    14. Crosstrain in all facets of the department including EMIS and state reporting.
    15. Assist the Manager of Information Systems with the documentation of EMIS updates to be sent to various buildings and departments affected by the changes.
    16. Update and monitor the State Standard ID system for assignment of SSID for various EMIS reporting periods. This is done on a daily or weekly basis as needed.
    17. Assist the Manager of Information Systems with the monitoring of staff student testing discipline and course reporting.
    18. Provide helpdesk assistance to users in the understanding of computer generated reports and student management software.
    19. Attend trainings as necessary to support the District in entering EMIS data.
    20. Provide clerical assistance within the department as required.
    21. Abide by the rules regulations policies and procedures of the Warren City School District Board of Education.
    22. Perform other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Associate Superintendent Manager of Information Systems and/or designated supervisor.

    SALARY: Salary Table E Pay Range V 260262 day 52 week) Contract. Salary per negotiated union contract.
