About the role
Working as part of our Data Governance team within CTO & AI Transformation the purpose of the Data Quality Advisor is to support and guide Suncorp Groups Data Governance activities to ensure the Group meets its obligations and requirements. You will lead the successful implementation of Data Governance and Data Management practices across Suncorp with a strong focus on data quality. This role plays a key part in influencing and enabling stakeholders to uplift Data Governance maturity in alignment with business priorities.
What youll do
- Serve as a lead and coach with key stakeholders across Suncorp to ensure data quality obligations and requirements are clearly defined communicated and met
- Understand and monitor the adoption of data controls for data quality and security and privacy
- Contribute to and participate in Data Governance Working Groups and Councils
- Develop and deliver learning material and sessions with a heavy focus on data quality management and Collibra Data Quality capability
- Collaborating with data governance communities to define data quality requirements.
- Translate data quality requirements into technical data quality rules on the data quality monitoring platform
- Using software packages/tools for maintaining and using metatdata (Collibra / RDM) and support
- Distribute DQ Issue Reports and provide Enterprise level trends to Data Governance Forums
What youll bring
- 3 years comparable experience with a strong focus on Data Systems Reporting Quality
- Data Governance toolset experience Collibra preferred with exposure to Collibra DQM
- Experience in data governance data controls and data quality management
- A good understanding of data and describing data (Metadata)
- Experience in developing data quality checks on structured data sources.
- Understanding of Business intelligence tools such as Tableau/Cognos/SQL well regarded
