JOB SUMMARY:

We offer students the opportunity to spend a summer working at one of Securitas US Operating Centers. This internship program offers current college students with realworld applications of business within the North America Shared Services organization. You will participate in a 1012week internship located in Ballantyne North Carolinafor 3240 hours per week.

As a Remote Guarding Technical Support Intern you will be an integral part of our team contributing to realworld projects and gaining valuable experience in the field of Remote Guarding Technology. You will have an opportunity to share new perspectives fresh ideas specialized strengths and technical skills to help grow our business.

Successful completion of the internship program could lead to a return internship for the following summer or employment at the organization in the future.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supporting and troubleshooting a Windows environment and workstations
  • Support specialized project utilizing Smartsheet/Power BI
  • Other duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference depending upon the nature of the position.


Education/Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Security IT field or related field.
  • Experience with networking equipment
  • Ability to add IP addresses to servers.

Competencies(as demonstrated through experience training and/or testing):

  • General knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Strong Customer focus
  • Ability to troubleshoot and accurately resolve problems
  • Effective communication. Must have ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
  • Ability to successfully manage work relationships with strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective collaboration skills in working with teams and internal/external stakeholders
  • Excellent planning organization and time management skills
  • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to solve problems and think critically
