Now Hiring: Project Engineer Landscape Construction
Pierre Landscape is a leader in commercial landscape construction specializing in union prevailing wage and public works projectsincluding schools and municipal facilities. Were currently seeking a Project Engineer to support our Project Managers on multiple active job sites. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized proactive and ready to grow with a stable and respected company.
Position Overview
As a Project Engineer youll work closely with a Project Manager on active projects at any given time. Youll support from start to finishincluding planning document control coordination and communication with field crews clients and vendors. This role requires experience working with union labor prevailing wage contracts and public agency documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Manager in managing commercial landscape construction projects
- Work on unionrequired jobs (e.g. schools public works)
- Handle submittals RFIs Change Orders T&M tickets and document control
- Review and interpret plans and specifications
- Track and maintain DIG alerts
- Coordinate deliveries and equipment
- Facilitate job site meetings and check job status in the field
- Maintain compliance with job requirements and documentation standards
- Communicate regularly with field personnel vendors clients and internal teams
- Use the following tools:
- Procore
- Sage 100 Contractor
- OST (OnScreen Takeoff)
- Bluebeam
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook)
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture or Construction Management preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the landscape construction industry in a Project Assistant or Project Engineer role
- Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to visitjob sites for meetings and site checks
- Handson knowledge of:
- Procore
- Sage 100 Contractor
- OST
- Bluebeam
- Microsoft Office Suite
Strong understanding of:
- Submittals RFIs Change Orders Daily Reports T&M Tickets
- Plan and Spec interpretation
- Project documentation and reporting
- Estimating and takeoffs
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and followup skills
- Highly organized results and processoriented
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines
- Experience with prevailing wage and union jobs required
