Job Description

  • Newly created casual role based in Coburg (after hours) 58pm
  • SCHADS Level 2 25 casual loading

You can make an impact in the lives of young people by delivering vital support and harm reduction strategies as our Youth AOD Support Groups CoFacilitator.

You will play a key role in creating a safe inclusive environment where participants can find empowerment on their journey with alcohol and other drug issues.

Bring your lived experience and passion for helping others to cofacilitate weekly peer support groups creating a welcoming atmosphere that fosters growth and healing.

Your skills and experience

You will bring with you:

  • Certificate 3 or 4 in AOD Mental Health or Youth Work highly regarded or willingness to enroll. Qualification in facilitating youth peer groups highly desiredYouth. Engagement: Skills in engaging collaborating and networking with young people.
  • Peer Group Facilitation: Experience facilitating youthfocused peer groups desired ability to work within a team and manage time efficiently.
  • Understanding Youth Issues: Strong understanding of the needs and issues facing young people experiencing AOD and mental health complexities.
  • Harm Reduction Approach: Strong understanding of AOD harm reduction approach.
