Technology Solutions part of the Americas Division develops global modular platforms for smart lock systems enabling groupwide reuse within ASSA ABLOY. To strengthen our capabilities we are looking for a Cloud Architect to oversee our cloud infrastructure ensure best practices for CI/CD and drive scalable and secure cloud solutions. The cloud architect will be responsible for Technology Solutions B2B cloud infrastructure internal devops infrastructure and works closely with the software teams to make sure that we have a secure scalable cloud architecture in place. The architect will work closely with the different teams within Technology Solutions and need to be able to travel to our different sites. I.e. Stockholm Krakow and within Americas.

What you will do as our Cloud Architect

As a Cloud Architect you will be responsible for CI/CD and devops best practices including the complete software build chain within Technology Solutions; CI Continuous integration CD Continuous deployment and standardisation of tools and third party frameworks. A special focus area is CI/CD for embedded systems including hardware in the loop testing and hardware emulation. Moreover you will be designing and supporting the implementation of cloud architectures across AWS and Azure to support business applications and workloads. You will ensure high availability fault tolerance and scalability while enforcing security best practices policies and procedures. Your role will involve conducting security risk assessments implementing security controls and managing identity and access management (IAM) in alignment with compliance frameworks such as ISO NIST and SOC2. Additionally you will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop secure efficient and automated cloud solutions.

You would also:

  • Monitor system performance security and cost optimizations using cloudnative tools and thirdparty solutions.
  • Implement containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker Kubernetes) to streamline application deployments.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to teams on cloud security DevOps and best architectural practices.
  • Define CI/CD best practices and implement DevOps pipelines CI/CD automation and infrastructureascode (IaC) practices.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure including administration account management and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with development operations and security teams to build and maintain cloud solutions that align with business objectives.

The skills and experiences you need

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum 5 years of documented experience defining new cloud architectures and leading independent projects from an architectural standpoint.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud with strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation Ansible etc..
  • Handson experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes Helm OpenShift) and embedded CI/CD optimizing build processes.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI and Azure DevOps along with scripting languages like Python Bash or PowerShell.
  • Deep understanding of networking firewalls VPNs cloud security frameworks and DevSecOps practices including experience with security tools (SIEM IDS/IPS WAFs vulnerability scanning and endpoint protection).
  • Strong analytical problemsolving coaching and communication skills with knowledge of thirdparty tools frameworks and modules used in software development.
  • Familiarity with opensource licensing and models with the ability to lead by example take initiative and collaborate across teams.
