POSITION PURPOSE:

The Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the Marketing department. The Marketing intern will assist with the development and design of marketing campaigns delivered through social media print TV and other advertising methods. They support outdoor events perform clerical tasks and assists with general marketing functions.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in daytoday advertising operations
  • Assist in creation of work plans and creative proofs
  • Assist in creation and updates to sales collateral
  • Assist with video production (shooting editing organizing etc.
  • Support preparation of requisitions invoices shipping products and reports
  • Support content creation curations and editing
  • Assists in developing multimedia and social media programs to promote brand.
  • Participates in planning organizing and advertising special events and promotions.
  • Assists in smooth operation of outdoor events and promotions; from the beginning planning stages to pulling together the details for successful ; through the actual event completion.
  • Works collaboratively within the department and property by demonstrating respect for others judgment and capabilities
  • Assists property video & photoshoots by researching locations organizing preparing equipment performing necessary functions as needed.
  • Assist in editorial and asset research and documentation
  • Support upload organization titling and tagging of video and photo files
  • Maintains confidentiality of verbal written and electronic information
  • Gain hands on practical experience to the full range of Marketing roles and
  • responsibilities
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be actively enrolled in a higher education program specific to marketing or business administration.
  • Maintain a C or better grade point average
  • Reliable transportation to and from work locations
  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Able to work a varied schedule to support events
  • Internship positions are open for Cow Creek Tribal Members and family members of active UIDC Team Members.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT:

Develop planning organizational and time management skills

Increase knowledge of computer skills and technology

Develop teambased work competencies

Develop interpersonal skills in order to communicate with team members business contacts and guests

Increase overall marketing knowledge


WORK SCHEDULE:

On the job training and structured activities occur daily at the direction of the intern supervisor.

Interns will work a minimum of 20 hours a week not to exceed 400 hours during the internship.

Schedule will be flexible based on student schedule and business need.
