Senior Business Development Manager Geology


Transform the mining industry with nextgeneration technology. Initiate and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders. Develop strategic accounts and manage the endtoend sales cycle.

About The Opportunity


As the Senior Business Development Manager based in Toronto you will play a vital role in driving new business growth for Micromines exploration solution Micromine Origin. Leveraging your sales experience and mining industry knowledge you will identify new opportunities build strong relationships and deliver tailored solutions that meet our clients technical needs.


Reporting to the VP Sales Americas your main responsibilities will include:


  • Managing the endtoend sales process including nurturing prospects demonstrating solutions handling objections and closing deals
  • A strong focus on proactive prospecting lead generation and building strong client relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mining industry
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence
  • Participating in marketing events such as trade shows conferences and product launches
  • Building strategic relationships with key clients including Geologists and Engineers
  • Stay informed about mining industry trends and market demands


About You


As an experienced salesperson you will have a background in B2B sales/consulting within the mining industry.


Key skills experience and qualifications:


  • Minimally 8 years of outbound/hunting sales experience
  • Experience with selling mining software/ Saas solutions
  • 4 years of experience within the mining and/or geology industry
  • Strong ability to identify pursue and close net new business opportunities
  • Experience identifying potential clients initiating outreach and qualifying leads to build a robust pipeline
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a knack for building and maintaining client relationships
  • Based in Toronto ON (or GTA) to meet with our clients in person (required)
  • Ability to travel for work as required
