The Rutgers University Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences invites applications for a fulltime grantfunded oneyear renewable NonTenure Track Assistant Research Professor (academic year) with interests in and experience with the use of field laboratory and statistical approaches to reconstruct Holocene sea level changes. Starting December 1 2022 the candidate will join the Rutgers University Earth System Science & Policy lab led by Professor Robert Kopp.
Overview
Principal responsibilities include 1 reconstructing past global and regional changes in sea level and the drivers of sea level change 2 writing papers and making presentations describing this research and 3 identifying and supporting the development of new research and evaluation of projects and external funding opportunities including writing grant proposals. In addition the candidate will have opportunities to contribute to teaching and mentoring within the undergraduate and graduate programs in Earth and Planetary Sciences.
