Job Description: Logistics and Distribution Executive
Overall Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of products to the right location meeting quality standards and optimizing costs. Manages the distribution and transportation of goods overseeing the entire process or a specific part of the chain depending on the organizations size and structure. May also be responsible for warehouse management. Additionally this role involves people and budgetary management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing MIS preparation
- Managing transporter bill clearance
- Monitoring slowmoving and obsolete stock
- Ensuring effectiveness and accuracy of IT systems
- Maintaining metrics reports and process documentation
- Mandatory SAP knowledge
People Management:
- Setting departmental objectives/KPIs and assessing direct reports performance
- Reporting on target achievements and identifying necessary actions
Relationship Management:
- Ensuring timely dispatch of completed orders
- Ensuring appropriate shipping to maintain product quality during transportation
Self Management:
- Actively contributing to a positive team atmosphere
- Anticipating and overcoming obstacles
- Making valuable connections to develop insightful plans and solutions
- Selfmotivated flexible and effective under pressure

Qualifications and Experience Levels:
- Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree
- Preferred MBA
- 5 years of experience in logistics/supply chain/transportation
- Indepth knowledge of manufacturing processes components and supply chain management
- Proficiency in IT systems including ERP BOM and customer data systems
- Advanced Excel skills
