Want to join our Team We are currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated RN Clinical Manager to join our team. As a Clinical Manager you will function as a role model and provides leadership to the staff and oversight of all aspects of services provided to patients and caregivers including Pediatrics OnCall. We empower our Clinical Managers to serve as a resource to your staff on care continuity and quality.

Office Location: Pasadena Maryland

Coverage Area: Anne Arundel Prince Georges Charles and Calvert Counties

Status: Fulltime

Schedule: 40 hour work week 8am4:30pm. Weekend rotation required with the Clinical Supervisor to ensure 7 day/week leadership and flexes schedule as needed to support needs of 24/7 staff.

Salary: Competitive commensurate with experience education and credentialing

Main Responsibilities:

  • Functions as a role model in area of clinical specialty demonstrating competency in clinical judgment selected technical skills and appropriate knowledge base to lead and guide staff. Demonstrates clinical expertise in the of the nursing process and directs staff in its application to promote safe effective and appropriate care.
  • In conjunction with Clinical Supervisor hires supervises evaluates and mentors staff assigned to their team including creating and overseeing a plan of professional development for each staff member to ensure uptodate credentials and compliance with certification and licensure requirements. Prepares and delivers staff evaluations in a timely manner. Establishes and oversees completion of individual performance improvement plans as necessary.
  • Conducts patient visits to offer support and expertise to the staff patients and families. Serves as a resource ensuring that patient problems are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Evaluates the quality of patient care through direct staff observation and review of documentation review of medical records and patient feedback.
  • Participates in weekend rotation with Clinical Supervisor to ensure 7 day/week leadership and flexes schedule as need to support needs of 24/7 staff.
  • Ensures that staff understands and exhibits the hospice philosophy of palliative care through education and role modeling.
  • Assists in the development and administration of the team budget to provide efficient and costeffective utilization of resources. Budgets and plans for necessary supplies equipment resources and space.
  • Liaisons with the Director of Human Resources to ensure that all staff needs and issues are addressed in a timely manner including administration of discipline as needed.
  • Ensures that staff is familiar with and adheres to HOC policies and procedures.
  • Supports and participates in Lean Healthcare initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school required; Possess a current Maryland nursing (RN) license.

  • 35 years of nursing experience in a clinical or home care setting required; previous hospice experience strongly preferred.

  • 23 years of supervisory experience required.

  • Demonstrated skill operating in Electronic Medical Records and ability to act as a resource for clinical documentation questions

  • Excellent oral written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated emotional maturity and ability to cope and work effectively in stressful situations. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Knowledge of Medicare Medicaid private insurance and other community programs and resources.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on an interdisciplinary team.

  • Excellent customer service philosophy and skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.

  • Basic computer skills to include but not limited to Microsoft Word and Outlook required.

  • Demonstrated understanding of and concurrence with the hospice philosophy of palliative care.

REQUIREMENTS

For RN Applicants: Must be able to lift or move patients in a safe manner. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record.

Compliant with health screening and vaccination requirements of organization and position including TB screening and Influenza vaccination annually.
