THE ROLE:
We are seeking a detailoriented Marketing Specialist to play a key role in executing marketing strategies to promote SEMI Americas events drive engagement and increase attendee acquisition. You will strategically develop and execute marketing plans email campaigns social media tactics media trades build event websites design digital assets and manage print projects with vendors. This position offers opportunities to expand and learn a wide variety of skills while supporting the SEMI Americas marketing team and collaborating crossfunctionally with programs sales operations membership regional worldwide offices technology communities media trades partner trades and corporate marketing to ensure all efforts align with SEMIs initiatives and objectives.
This is a fulltime exempt position reporting to the Marketing Manager of SEMI Americas Marketing at the SEMI Milpitas Office. Occasional onsite event presence required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
You are a creative detailoriented analytical and handson marketer who can work well in a fastpaced matrixed organization. You thrive under pressure and are extremely resultsoriented and datadriven.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategically create multichannel marketing plans for events and programs to increase attendee acquisition and engagement for the SEMI Americas region
- Develop and execute email promotional campaigns including copy writing to generate leads and drive conversions
- Execute social media marketing strategies to increase awareness and engagement by maintaining social media schedule designing graphics copywriting posting updating cover images creating events reporting and responding to followers (LinkedIn Facebook Twitter and Instagram)
- Create update and maintain Drupal event websites landing pages agenda and content pages
- Design create and modify graphics banners PPT presentations
- Work with third party vendors to support print and digital event deliverables including brochures flyers banners signages etc.
- Generate reports postevent to highlight marketing campaigns and results
- Work crossfunctionally with Program Managers Sales Operations Digital Marketing Team PR and Corporate Marketing on multichannel event promotion
- Support sales strategies/goals by developing sales brochures and sponsorship opportunities to generate leads
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to acquire new audience and/or members
- Work with database management team (mailings list attendee lists etc.
- Aligning with corporate branding guidelines and strategy
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
- You successfully led the marketing efforts of a SEMI Americas event from start to finish including creating a marketing plan designing graphics building event website executing email and social media promo campaigns preparing onsite deliverables and creating postevent analytic reports
- You helped increase conversions generate leads increase engagement and build awareness of SEMI Americas events conferences and webinars
- You understand your target audience and create relevant compelling content to increase engagement and attract new audiences
- You reviewed metrics to analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and implemented new tactics to optimize promotional strategies
QUALIFICATIONS & CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:
- B.S./B.A. or advanced degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in email and social media marketing including writing building sending emails using a marketing automation platform such as Marketo and creating compelling social media graphics and captions
- Strong attention to details creative thinker selfstarter and proactive. Ability to multitask in a fastpaced dynamic environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with expertise in copywriting editing and proofreading
- Track record of successful attendee acquisition and brand growth via digital marketing
- Ability to take directions strategize and execute plans independently and collaboratively
- Ability to complete project deliverables on time and thoroughly follow up with stakeholders
- Willingness to learn new tasks and a positive attitude
- Experience with Marketo or other marketing automation tools
- Experience with Drupal or other web content management system
- Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop Illustrator and/or Canva
- Experience utilizing Google Analytics to analyze campaigns performance
- Proficient in MS Word Excel PowerPoint
- Photography / videography experience a plus
- Ability to travel up to 20
