Virginia Union University seeks an accomplished and innovative Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship to provide leadership in teaching research and program development. This position will contribute to the universitys mission by fostering entrepreneurial thinking mentoring students and engaging with the business community to advance entrepreneurial education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in entrepreneurship business innovation and experiential learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop experiential learning opportunities such as business incubators startup competitions and casebased learning.
- Integrate emerging trends and technologies into course content to enhance student learning.
- Conduct and publish highquality research in entrepreneurship small business management and innovation.
- Secure external funding and grants to support entrepreneurial initiatives and research projects.
- Mentor students on business plan development venture financing and startup strategies.
- Build relationships with entrepreneurs investors and business leaders to create partnerships and networking opportunities.
- Organize guest lectures workshops and panel discussions featuring industry experts.
- Participate in departmental and university committees to shape policies and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to accreditation and assessment efforts within the School of Business.
Education
- Ph.D. or DBA in Entrepreneurship Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of five 5 years of teaching experience at the university level.
- Demonstrated record of research publication and thought leadership in entrepreneurship.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
