The Village of Glendale Crossing located in London Ontario has an exciting opportunity for Personal Support Workers in LTC to join their team.

As our new Personal Support Worker you will:
- Demonstrate awareness of residentcentered care topics (e.g. infection control continence care oral/skin care resident safety nutrition dementia etc.
- Be skilled and able to prioritize and properly complete tasks effectively without compromising the care and compassion provided to residents even when under stress.
- Follow the Plan of Care observe and report any substantial changes in residents care overall health documents change into the system and communicate to the Neighbourhood Coordinator or village Registered team member.
- Respect the rights and dignity of all residents families team members and visitors to the Village and addresse any requests with professionalism and care.
- Support and embrace our residentcentred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of service to our residents visitors and team members through comprehensive and effective support
To be successful as our new Personal Support Worker you will:
- Hold a valid PSW Certificate that is 600 hours or greater and meets the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training Colleges & Universities the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges or the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association
- Be excited by our objectives our Village philosophy and the family values that shape all aspects of life in a Schlegel Village
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents families and team members
- Understand the physical mental and emotional demands of the PSW role
