Are you passionate about the Cloud Are you looking to help define a new architectural pattern to solve for the complexity of highvolume highscale highvelocity microservice architecture If the thought of working on bestinclass software that supports hundreds of millions of requests per minute and worldclass security excites you then we have the job for you.
Amazon Traffic Engineering is with the mission to provide managed secure resilient and performant traffic connectivity solutions between Amazons customers and internal services. We provide safe automated intuitive tenant lifecycle management enabling discovery edge network and unified authentication experiences for services in Amazons Consumer business (Retail Amazon Video Kindle Amazon Subsidiaries and more) to accelerate innovation in the Cloud.
Successful candidates will improve the quality consistency maintainability performance and security to help solve Amazons most difficult problems at an industry leading scale.
5 years of designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
5 years of programming with at least one modern language such as C C# Java Python Golang PowerShell Ruby experience
Experience with Linux/Unix
Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Bachelors degree
Experience with distributed systems at scale
Experience building tools for building testing releasing or monitoring
Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs
Experience in communicating with executives to describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
Experience in mentoring leading or managing more junior engineers
Experience in networking storage systems operating systems and handson systems engineering
