Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to OSHA EPA and ASME standards for boiler operation safety and environmental compliance.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure boiler room equipment meets industry standards.
- Respond to alarms and emergency shutdowns diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the facilitys continuous improvement initiatives.
Process Optimization & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of boiler operations maintenance inspections and repairs.
- Monitor fuel consumption steam usage and efficiency metrics recommending improvements when necessary.
- Assist in energy conservation initiatives by optimizing boiler efficiency and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure seamless steam supply for forging processes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or boiler operator certification preferred.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience operating and maintaining highpressure boilers in an industrial or manufacturing setting (forging industry experience is a plus).
- State or local boiler operator license (if required).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of boiler systems steam generation and water treatment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
- Basic mechanical electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to boiler operation hazardous materials and confined spaces.
- Effective problemsolving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
