Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum two years of experience in the healthcare field is required with previous call center experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrates an ability to generate creative and innovative approaches to solve problems
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (tact discretion and courtesy necessary to interact cordially and effectively) critical thinking troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Represent the department in a professional manner related to appearance communication and the maintenance of patient confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsibilities may include opening/closing duties for the department while providing leadership direction.
  • Receives questions or calls from the scheduling team and provides timely support.
  • Motivate and encourage the scheduling team through positive communication and immediate feedback.
  • Assist the supervisor to ensure the department goals are being met specifically to block utilization first contact times etc.
  • Assist the supervisor in researching special assignments and resolving scheduling discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist the supervisor in dealings with the spine centers and clinic staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

The Lead Procedure Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and authorizing procedures that will be performed within the clinic setting.
