Job Description
Simulmedia is looking for an experienced and dynamic Frontend Engineer with a curious and creative mindset to join our Frontend Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React and JavaScript. This is an opportunity to join a team of amazing engineers data scientists product managers and designers who are obsessed with building the most advanced streaming advertising platform in the market. As a Frontend Engineer you will build highperformance user interfaces that empower our users and clients by making the full breadth of our technology available to them.
This position is located in Lviv Ukraine. The core team is located in Lviv and primarily works remotely with occasional team meetings in the office.
Responsibilities:
Build interfaces that solve critical challenges in the streaming video advertising ecosystem
Work closely with designers and product teams to transform design concepts into engaging and userfriendly interfaces
Help other engineers on the team via mentorship pair programming and code reviews
Take a high degree of ownership and freedom to experiment with new technologies to improve our software
Develop maintainable code and fault tolerant solutions
Collaborate crossfunctionally with product managers and stakeholders across the company to deliver on product roadmap
Create and maintain documentation for frontend components and systems to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding
Optimize frontend code and web performance to ensure fast load times and smooth interactions
Stay uptodate with emerging frontend technologies and trends and recommend improvements to our tech stack
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience
5 years of professional work experience as a frontend engineer building highperformance user interfaces
Proven experience shipping userfacing features with JavaScript and modern componentbased JS frameworks such as React
You value thoughtful UI/UX and understand the importance of good design
Proven experience writing highquality welltested code to meet the needs of your customers
Good knowledge of engineering best practices and testing (unit test integration test)
The desire to take a high level of ownership of the things you work on
Ability to learn new things quickly maintain a high bar for quality and be pragmatic
Must be able to communicate with U.S based teams
Bonus points for experience with Ember
Ability to work 11 am 8 pm EEST
Our Tech Stack:
Almost everything we run is on AWS
We mostly use Python Ruby and Go
For data we mostly use Postgres and Redshift
