Our Client a highly reputable Venture Capital Asset Management firm is seeking a highly skilled ESG Reporting Analyst to join their dynamic team of professionals.
You have a genuine passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental and social outcomes!
Play an integral role in our Clients mission of incorporating environmental social and governance (ESG) principles into their investment processes with their Clients demanding robust ESG and sustainable investment frameworks.
One would describe you as a numerically inclined innovative dedicated and knowledgeable professional who will share in and support their commitment to integrate ESG principles effectively into their investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain ESG reporting frameworks in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Analyse and report on the ESG performance of the look through portfolio companies.
- Collaborate with South African venture funds and management teams of direct investments to integrate ESG considerations into investment reporting.
- Prepare comprehensive ESG reports for clients stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor global ESG trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and enhance reporting processes.
- Conduct ESG analysis and provide case studies on investments made.
- Engage with fund management teams and portfolio companies to improve their ESG performance and reporting.
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Bachelors degree in finance environmental science sustainability economics or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certification (e.g. CFA ESG certification) is preferred.
- 35 Years ESG reporting sustainability consulting or a related analysis role within asset management or financial services
- Indepth understanding of ESG standards regulations and reporting frameworks
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel ESG reporting software) and well as presentations tools such as MS Powerpoint or other
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings in a clear creative and concise manner.
Skills required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing reports and analysing data.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
