Job Description
Provides academic assistance to students in all academic areas and workshop facilitation as needed. Tutors work with TRIO Detroit Upward Bound and Educational Talent Search programs in Southwest and Northwest Detroit within our target schools.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED . Completion of at least one year of college courses. Demonstrated knowledge and competence in all subject matters. Ability to explain concepts to others effectively. Effectively communicate study strategies to ensure academic success. Ability to work comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds. Possesses good organizational skills. Exhibits patience and positive attitudes in establishing an encouraging learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree. Prior teaching or tutoring experience.
