The Indigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP) is about connecting First Nations people to jobs career advancement opportunities and to new training and jobready activities.

Our Reach Out Officer duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Mentoring Support and Participation
  • Education Training & Employment
  • Expenditure Administration & Reporting

To be considered for this position you will:

  • Be able to manage yourself your workload and work collaboratively with the wider Programs to ensure successful outcomes for participants
  • Have the ability to relate to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander People build rapport and keep them engaged in the service
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of digital literacy
  • Have experience or the ability to deliver group workshops as well as providing one on one support
  • Have strong relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships with employers service providers and participants
  • Previous experience in Employment Services or Sales will be highly regarded

Applicants for this position must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identify as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted in the community as such. This position relates to Section 50(d) of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act 1984 (WA) where Aboriginality is considered a genuine occupational qualification for this position.

Please note this is a PartTime opportunity for 3 Days per week.

To be considered you must

  • Have full working rights in Australia
  • Have a current drivers licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
  • Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
