Student Success Engagement Specialist

• Build relationships with students to promote a sense of belonging and encourage active participation in school.
• Provide oneonone and group support to students struggling with motivation attendance or engagement in school activities.
• Develop strategies to help students set academic and personal goals build resilience and navigate challenges.
• Implement and support restorative practices to improve student behavior and conflict resolution skills.
• Assist students in developing selfadvocacy communication and decisionmaking skills.

SocialEmotional Learning & WellBeing:

• Support the development and implementation of SEL programs and activities that enhance emotional intelligence stress management and relationshipbuilding skills.
• Identify students in need of additional socialemotional support and connect them with appropriate school or community resources.
• Promote a positive school culture through initiatives that encourage inclusion respect and student voice.

Academic & Career Readiness Support:

• Help students identify their strengths and interests to guide them in exploring career pathways and postsecondary opportunities.
• Assist students with goalsetting study skills and time management to support their academic progress.
• Connect students with internship workbased learning and leadership opportunities to enhance their engagement and skill development.
• Collaborate with school staff to support students transitioning back to school after extended absences or behavioral interventions.

Family & Community Engagement:

• Serve as a liaison between students families and school staff to ensure clear communication and coordinated support.
• Organize workshops events and programs that encourage family involvement in student success.
• Build relationships with community organizations and businesses to provide additional resources and opportunities for students.

Data Reporting & Compliance:

• Monitor student progress and maintain records of engagement efforts interventions and outcomes.
• Use datadriven approaches to assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
• Stay informed on best practices in student engagement SEL and academic success strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in education counseling social work psychology or a related field (Masters preferred).
• Experience working with students in an educational or youth development setting.
• Strong understanding of student engagement strategies SEL frameworks and restorative practices.
• Excellent communication relationshipbuilding and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators families and community partners.
• Passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Work Environment:

• Schoolbased setting with direct interaction with students families and staff.
• Flexible hours may be required for afterschool programs family meetings or special events.
• Some local travel may be needed to engage with community organizations and resources.
