Your role:
As a Software Developer in Test (SDET) FrontEnd you will be part of a small highly focused team responsible for delivery of leading edge React based applications that are part of Global Relays platform. You will work directly in code to design efficient and robust testing solutions for our React micro frontend applications. You will drive continual improvement in your teams automation frameworks and coverage while mentoring other SDETs in the team on industry leading test practices. You will support the teams testing efforts to ensure quality of coverage quality of code and quality of delivery.
Your responsibilities:
- Define and automate test cases that verify product requirements
- Write code to support development of automated frameworks and tests
- Contribute to decisions in the architecture and design of test frameworks
- Pair with developers in designing contract tests for both consumer and producer
- Perform Cross browser testing
- Participate in test issue identification and resolution in support of the release
- Maintain test infrastructure and tools
- Participate in team planning and story grooming
- Conduct code reviews improve and maintain quality of the automation code
- Conduct test reviews improve and maintain quality of the test coverage
- Document the automation framework tools and infrastructure
About you:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in test development
- Strong understanding of JavaScript and Java
- Strong understanding of testing practices in an agile environment
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver and Cypress.
- Experience with any of the following is an asset:
- Experience with contract testing (PACT preferable)
- Understanding of testing Library family of packages
- Understanding of Micro front end architectures.
- Network principles and protocols such as HTTP TLS and TCP
- Web services technology such as REST JSON or Thrift
- Continuous integration systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo
