ONCALL CUSTODIAN with 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate or Higher

Hourly Rate: $27.55 plus 16 in lieu of benefits)

Shifts During the school year (September to June)Monday to Friday generally 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm or 3:00 pm to 11:00pm

Shifts During the Summer Spring and Winter break generally from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a team member are essential. Although this position is OnCall it is busy and there are regular assignments available throughout the year.

• Completion of Grade 12
• Valid 4^th or 5^th class Power Engineering Certificate or a Recognized Power Engineering Program Certificate with InterProvincial Certification
• Must be flexible and accept assignments on short notice

We are seeking OnCall custodians with a 4^th or 5^th Class Power Engineering Certificate or a recognized Power Engineering Program Certificate. A 5th class Power Engineering Certificate qualifies you for all of the above positions and a minimum of a 5th class Power Engineering Program meets the qualifications for the AHC and HC. If you have not completed your 4th or 5th class certification there are some opportunities to complete your firing time with the VSB.
