Dean Agriculture Business and Technology
Highland Community College is accepting applications for the position of Dean of Agriculture Business and Technology with an expected start date of July 1 2025. The Dean provides direction and leadership within the areas of Agriculture Business and Technology Programs. The Dean will oversee the development supervision coordination and evaluation of instructional programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all facets of agriculture business and technology education.
- Responsible for program development.
- Oversee dual credit within the division.
- Secure funding and manage grants.
- Accountable for budgeting oversight.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
What Were looking For
Education and Experience:
- Masters degree in vocational education business education agriculture administrative or a related field
- Five 5 years teaching experience in a business or technical field along with some nonacademic work experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong management skills along with the ability to delegate tasks and authority.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Experience in administering instructional programs and related support activities coordinating with area career and technical centers and experience working in a unionized environment is preferred.
A successful criminal background check is required for this position. A valid drivers license is needed.
