Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Safety Officer/Manager to join as a key member of their safety team ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of relevant safety legislation and regulations
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate employees to adopt safe work practices
- Excellent communication training and facilitation skills
- Ability to develop and implement safety policies procedures and programs
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Computer literacy with experience using MS Teams
- Ability to mentor and train junior staff
- Handson experience in developing work instructions conducting safety audits and investigating incidents
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Safety requirements legal appointments safety committees monitoring auditing reporting and dealing with IODs
