You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailArizona State Universitys College of Health Solutions Speech and Hearing Science Program invites applications for a fulltime 9month tenuretrack faculty position (Assistant Associate or Full Professor) in the area of pediatric speech or language disorders. This includes but is not limited to craniofacial disorders autism early language literacy and reading disorders and developmental language disorder.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a productive research program teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses mentor students and junior faculty (for associate/full ranks) and contribute service to the program university and professional community. Required and desired qualifications for each rank are detailed below.

About Speech and Hearing Science
Arizona State Universitys Speech and Hearing Science program part of the College of Health Solutions fosters a vibrant interdisciplinary environment at the forefront of health and education research. Our program advances the fields of speechlanguage pathology speech science language and literacy through a strong integration of research clinical practice and community engagement. Faculty address cuttingedge research questions across varied topics including auditory neuroscience speech motor control cognitive aging and neuroplasticity in individuals with conditions like autism and brain injuries. We are also pioneering in areas such as digital biomarkers machine learning pediatric speech interventions genetic basis of speech and language disorders and language and literacy development in monolingual and bilingual children. These interdisciplinary initiatives drive collaboration and innovation positioning Speech and Hearing Science as a leader in both foundational research and clinical practice. Our program offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate masters and doctoral degrees equipping students for success in both academic and clinical careers. The Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Science provides a solid foundation in communication sciences and disorders. We also offer a specialized SpeechLanguage Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certificate for undergraduates. At the graduate level our masters programs in Communication Disorders and Auditory and Language Neuroscience emphasize clinical excellence and evidencebased practice. For professionals seeking specialized expertise we offer a Graduate Certificate in Communication Disorders in Multilingual/Multicultural Populations enhancing clinical practice in multicultural communities. Our PhD programs focus on auditory and language neuroscience speech and hearing science and communication disorders offering students a broad spectrum of opportunities in research and clinical fields.
About the College of Health Solutions
The College of Health Solutions is committed to translating scientific health research and discovery into practice to improve health outcomes through education research and service. We equip students with the knowledge and skills to influence healthier lifestyle choices; develop creative interventions to improve the health of people and populations; analyze and translate large amounts of health data into solutions; and maximize the technology science business and application of diagnostics. Through teaching academic programs service and research faculty at the College of Health Solutions address one or more of our three major areas of focus: 1 The systems of health care and the health needs of populations; 2 Health and human performance of individuals across the lifespan; 3 Personalized interventions through precision health. Across these areas we work to address complex and difficult health problems that require transformative collaboration translational research and innovation. We are particularly interested in making an impact on populations with significant health disparities.
Our research programs encompass basic science discovery science clinical trials intervention science and measurement of health outcomes. In all cases our faculty use interdisciplinary approaches to address the complex systems that underpin health problems. We are highly collaborative transparent and teamoriented. Our innovative organizational structure includes translational teams that move science from labs into communities with evidencebased interventions that make a difference as well as affinity networks where teams of people work together to improve methodologies and processes. All of our programs in and out of the classroom are designed with the goal of improving the health of people and communities.
Current training programs by areas of study include biomedical informatics biomedical diagnostics health care systems health sciences & medical studies movement sciences nutrition population health the science of healthcare delivery and speech and hearing sciences. Our programs are offered at the ASU Downtown Phoenix Tempe Polytechnic and West campuses as well as on Mayo Clinics campus in north Phoenix.
