You are the ideal candidate if you have a strong technical background in heavy equipment maintenance a proven ability to lead maintenance teams and the strategic acumen to drive continuous improvement in plant operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Management:

Leadership and Management:
- Provide strong leadership to the maintenance team fostering a culture of safety accountability and operational excellence.
- Oversee daytoday maintenance activities to ensure equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
- Effectively manage a team of supervisors artisans technicians and support staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance practices and equipment reliability.
- Oversee the maintenance servicing and repair of drill rigs and support equipment.
- Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical electrical and hydraulic failures efficiently.
- Ensure proper inventory management of critical spares and maintenance tools.
- Develop and execute maintenance plans and schedules in alignment with production targets.
- Prepare and manage maintenance budgets optimizing costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to align maintenance activities with operational goals.
- Enforce strict adherence to health safety and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Ensure compliance with mining industry regulations OEM specifications and company policies.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and audits implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Promote a zeroharm safety culture within the maintenance team.
- Implement maintenance best practices to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews on plant equipment identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Work closely with OEMs and suppliers to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
- Identify training needs for the maintenance team and ensure continuous technical development.
- Mentor and develop a skilled workforce capable of handling complex maintenance challenges.
- Trade Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or relevant technical qualification).
- Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) Mines & Works (highly advantageous).
- Proven experience in a senior maintenance management role within a mining or drilling environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy mining equipment drill rigs and plant maintenance.
- Preventative and predictive maintenance planning expertise.
- Experience with budgeting and cost control in a maintenance environment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent problemsolving communication and organizational skills.
